ES Hammam-Sousse v. Étoile SS Preview
By: Houssem | February 28th, 2009
We’re a few minutes away from kick-off at the Ben Jannet stadium in Monastir, and only a few dozen fans have made it there so far according to Jawhara FM. The blame can of course only be put on the LNFP who made two neighboring teams travel to another town for a normal league game, and ruined a derby.
Here’s Étoile’s starting XI :
Bouderbala / Ben Radhia, Jemal, Felhi, Abdennour / Mabrouk, Everson / Toniche, Mosrati, Nafkha / Bukhari
A rather cautious choice from Gernot Rohr. I would have gone for a Mendoza-Bukhari duo in attack, since playing Hammam-Sousse on one of the best tunisian pitches isn’t exactly the hardest task you can imagine. We shall certainly see some changes in the course of this match. The best thing that can happen this weekend is a win for us and a draw at the big Tunis derby. Tune in on Tunis 7 today and tomorrow for some exciting non-quality football.
An interesting Ligue 2 game is worth following : JS Kairouan vs. ES Zarzis. The Aghlabides (currently second in the table) finally have a serious chance of joining the top division after all these years spent in the lower tiers of tunisian football. They have the best defense of Ligue 2, and will be hosting the team with the best attack. ES Zarzis have been at the top spot of the table since the beginning of the season, and it seems as though nothing could stop their ascension to the Ligue 1. Hannibal TV will be broadcasting this game live.
