ESS – OB Highlights and Dimanche Sport

By: Houssem | January 27th, 2009

Dimanche Sport’s weekly segment “Virage” visited Sousse this week and interviewed some supporters as well as official spokesman Taoufik Gahbiche and newly appointed “supporter relations manager” Kais Achour. Funny how the players and staff are not allowed to talk to the press anymore. Driss is probably afraid they would say something that would upset the supporters even more. “Virage” starts at 10:10 in the 1st video, followed by the ESS – OB highlights.

Alright, 3-0 then. Maybe not in the best of manners, but a win is a win. We scored on the widest variety of set pieces you can imagine : penalty kick, corner kick and free kick. Béja are obviously not to-flight opposition. They were pretty naive on the set pieces but managed to get some interesting chances.

This is a good re-start, but what I want to see now is some expensive strikers getting their names on the score sheet. Is that too much to ask ? I’d also like to know what you think of the current Rohr-Zâaboub situation and how some fans were shouting and insulting the players and staff instead of cheering at each goal.

An unconvincing victory! We seem unable to score goals without set pieces. May be the inclusions of Negedu Mendoza and the creative Everson will stylize our play and create more goals. By the way, why didn’t any of the new players play Sunday’s match?

I think it’s because only Everson got his tunisian league license, the others are probably still waiting.

    Hi all,
Last evening things came to an end with the new colombian player Mauricio Mendoza.
The 28 year old player has signed a contract of 3 years with ESS and may start to play as from next match against the neighbours USMO.
