Looking good !

By: Houssem | August 24th, 2008

Sadat BukhariWeek 2 of the tunisian LP 1, with a few interesting games, and a trip to Bizerte for Étoile du Sahel that ended up being more successful than anybody would have thought (honestly … 5-0 !). I didn’t watch the game since it came on Tunisie 21 and I need a bigger satellite dish to get Nilesat, but there’s no doubt about Étoile’s domination of the game. Decastel started with the 11 players that we’ll hopefully see start pretty much every game this season, or at least until the CAF Confederation Cup final : Mathlouthi in goal, Meriah (LB), Yaken (RB), Jemal and Felhi (CB), Mida and Nafkha (MF), Fwayo (LW), Ben Nasr (RW), Bukhari and Opara (ST).

Bukhari is continuing to be up to the fans’ expectations, and his goal from 20m was an absolute stunner.
The team looks good, and our hopes can only get higher when you look at the other top teams struggling against minor competition : Club Africain drew Olympique de Béja 1-1 at home, CS Sfaxien lost at home to CS Hammam-Lif 3-1, and Espérance was outsmarted by newcomers ES Hammam-Sousse (2-1 loss away). If Decastel and his boys know how to take advantage of the situation, we’ll be alright !

Enjoy the goals : Jemal (17′), Touati (o.g. 26′), Bukhari (34′, 77′), Jemal (p. 84′)

Well done today Houssem! Looks like you guys are getting off to a faster start than us. Very impressive. What about these Felhi to Bayern rumors? Are they well founded? I heard he already had the medical and might be leaving as early as this winter!

BTW, the post about Tunisian blogger on Tunisie foot is up! Sorry it took so long, I was MIA all of last week.

Incredible performance today! Let’s hope that the form will continue.
I knew Bukhari would justify the money spent on the transfer.

Felhi has been linked with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, but I don’t think he’ll be released before the team fulfills its mid season objectives : bring the Confederations Cup to Sousse and have a comfortable lead by the end of december. I see him moving permanently to a german team (VfB Stuttgart might also be interested) in the winter transfer window, unless Driss pulls a “Chermiti” once again :D
